The Johnny Great and Dutch Show (JGD Show) is a story driven live production show featuring COMEDY, MUSIC, MAGIC, ILLUSION, and DANCE. Drawing inspiration from some of the greatest live performers, cabaret shows, improve acts, and TV/movies in the past seventy five years, The JGD Show offers a fresh take on the classic entertainment vibe in a “musical meets variety show” format!

 From the modern skits of Saturday Night to the legendary antics of comedy duos like Lucille “I Love Lucy” Ball and Desi Arnaz, and movies like Austin Powers and Zoolander, humor and joy is at the heart of what we do.

 And, we do it all over a storyline that follows the whirlwind lifestyle of showbiz’s most “showmantic” couple while dancing and singing our hearts out over an original and homage musical score.  Betcha’ we’ll have you dancing in your seat and that you’ll leave the theater humming a melody from our original opener, “Here We Go!” or whistling one of Dutch’s hit Latin songs!  Or, maybe, you’ll be too busy recalling your favorite skits and jokes, the colorful costumes, or trying to figure out how Dutch was cut in half sideways or how Johnny became a mind reader and captured the heart of America’s sweetheart, Dutch!

The Comedy

We always say that if you were to watch the JGD show with no sound/ audio, you would think that you’re watching a classic, serious, Las Vegas style cabaret show. But . . . pump up the volume and . . . oh no! These two can’t be serious?! . . . Wait for it . . . we’re not! 

Sure, we work out tails off to deliver tightly choreographed song, dance, and magic numbers, but they’re often interrupted by just barely acceptable innuendos, fart jokes, and even phone calls. Yup . . . our producer just can’t resist ringing us during in the middle of the act to give a show note, deliver news of a new sponsor, or participate in a magic trick! 

Bottom line? Hold onto your funny bone . . . You’re gonna need it!

The Magic

Wonder is at the heart of our experience as human beings. Whether it’s marveling at the miraculous Niagara Falls or a baffling card trick, the emotional response often makes us feel magical! 

The Johnny Great and Dutch Show is laced with a handful of stunning illusions and mindreading miracles that’ll put a smile on your face and tickle your brain as Dutch and Johnny share their whirlwind life of magic and “showmance”! The Music

    Music doesn’t make the world go ‘round but it sure makes it a better ride! 

That’s why we’re singing live throughout The JGD Show and have packed it full of our original melodies, lyrics, and sound effects to keep your inner ears smiling all night long!  And, from the moment that you walk in the door, you’ll be two steppin’ to our “pre-show jam” of hits from artists like The Weekend, Bruno Mars, and Post Malone that are sure to get ya bouncin’!

The Dance

We like to move it, move it! 

And, at The JGD Show, we’ve always believed that a shortcut to happiness is to dance!

So, while we’re singing, trickin’, and goofing around, we do most of it while dancing! With styles ranging from jazz, to adagio, disco, and even a lil’ tap dancing, we never miss a chance to dance! We even hope that it’ll be so infectious that, when the show is over, you’ll walk out dancing like no one’s watching! Because, they’re not . . . they’re checking their phone.
